Day 1: Arrival in Liberia

A representative will meet and greet you upon arrival to Liberia International Airport. Transfer to the Arenal Volcano Area, approximately 4 hours away.

Overnight at Arenal Paraiso hotel.

Day 2: Arenal Volcano area

Breakfast at the hotel
Morning at leisure to relax or take an optional tour.

Mid-afternoon tour of the area surrounding the Arenal Volcano and the relaxing hot springs that are set amid beautiful tropical gardens; dinner included.

Overnight at Arenal Paraiso hotel.

Day 3: Arenal Volcano - Monteverde

Breakfast at the hotel. Regular transfer to the Monteverde area, combining ground and boat transfer across the Arenal Lake.
Rest of the day at leisure.

2-night stay at Fonda Vela Hotel

Monteverde is a village founded in 1951 by Quakers from Alabama, seeking a better life. You'll find spectacular protected cloud forests, rich in tropical flora and fauna that support six distinct ecological zones of plants and animals.

Activities to do in the area include (at an extra cost); canopy, hanging bridges, horseback riding, train ride, trapiche tour, butterfly garden and much more.

Day 4: Monteverde area

Visit to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Private Reserve, which is world famous for its cloud forest. Here you can enjoy the cloud forest climate and hike the trails, among the wide variety of plants and magnificent, epiphyte-laden trees. Over 450 bird species can be seen in the area. The reserve measures 26,000 acres and is an important link in the growing network of protected areas in Costa Rica.

Rest of the day at leisure to relax, or explore on your own optional activities.

Day 5: Monte Verde - Guanacaste

Breakfast at the hotel.

Regular transfer in the morning from Monteverde area to Hermosa Beach, Papagayo Gulf in Guanacaste (approx. 4 hour drive).

Three (3) nights staying at Playa Hermosa Bosque del Mar Hotel.

Located in Guanacaste, this is the quintessential beach paradise destination. The incomparable beauty of its landscapes that go from the tropical dry forest to the forest mountain low and its hot climate.

Also known for its extensive nature reserves that house an incredible concentration of flora, fauna, and natural beauty.There are several reserves that are possible to visit in a single day from your beach hotel. We recommend Rincon de la Vieja National Park, which holds an active volcano, thermal mud baths, and a variety of forests; Palo Verde National Park, which is a bird-watcher’s and nature-lover’s paradise,among many others.

Day 6 & 7: Guanacaste
